Backing up patient data is an essential component of security. It is critical that users of Noah System establish policies to ensure these backups occur. Beginning with version 3.5, Noah System includes a backup scheduler which makes this process very easy for end users. Regardless of the specific program being backed up, it is advisable to follow these basic principles.
The back up data should be saved to a disk drive or other device, which is on a different hard drive than the Noah database. In addition, this media, or a copy of it, should be stored in a secure location off-site to protect against natural disasters such as fires and floods.
