Q. What is a NOAH 3 for ENT license?

A. Many hearing care professionals worldwide use their NOAH 3 software only for measuring hearing loss, and do not fit hearing instruments. For these professionals, HIMSA introduces the NOAH 3 for ENT license for NOAH System and NOAH 3 compatible office systems.

Q. Should I buy a full NOAH 3 license or a NOAH 3 for ENT license?

A. If you only use NOAH to measure hearing loss, and you do not use NOAH for fitting or selecting hearing instruments, then the NOAH 3 for ENT license is the one you should purchase.

Q. What are the limitations of a NOAH 3 for ENT license?

A. The NOAH 3 for ENT license does not allow you to use NOAH 3 fitting modules for hearing instrument fitting or selection. All other NOAH 3 functionality, such as networking, client data handling and journal entries, will still be supported.

Q. Will my NOAH 3 for ENT data be compatible with NOAH 3?

A. Absolutely. With a NOAH 3 for ENT license, you will be able to export/import clients to or from any NOAH 3 installation. The only difference is that you will not be able to view or edit imported fitting data.

Q. Where can I purchase a NOAH 3 for ENT license?

A. You can purchase a NOAH System 3 for ENT license from any NOAH 3 distributor, with the exception of distributors in North America. If you are interested in having the product available in North America, please send an e-mail to himsa@himsa.com.

HIMSA expects that most certified NOAH 3 office systems outside of North America will eventually offer a version of their software that can support NOAH 3 for ENT licenses. For more information, contact your office system vendor.

Q. How much does the NOAH 3 for ENT license cost?

A. The actual price of a NOAH 3 for ENT license will be set by your local distributor. However, a NOAH 3 for ENT license should cost well under half of the price of a NOAH System or NOAH Engine license with the same number of users.

IMPORTANT: Due to the low price of the NOAH 3 for ENT license, HIMSA does not offer an upgrade price for current NOAH 2 and PAX users.

Q. How do I install NOAH 3 for ENT?

A. You install NOAH System 3 for ENT in exactly the same way that you install NOAH System 3. Simply install the software from the NOAH System installation CD (in the NOAH System Start Pack). Then register, download and install your NOAH System 3 for ENT license by following the instructions in your NOAH System 3 License Pack.
