Definition
Global options determine the tests that are available in NOAHaud and how these tests appear. In addition, graph and data orientation can be defined and pure tone averages calculated. Only one set of global options is available.
Differences between global and profile options
Profile options are subsets of global options. Multiple sets of profile options can be created and saved. Refer to Profile options under Related Links to the right of this page.
Global options for Pure Tone and Speech tests
- In NOAHaud, click Tools > Global Options.
- Depending on which test you require, open the Pure Tone Tests or Speech Tests tab.
- Defining New Tests: Click New. The Add Test window opens. Enter the test Notation. Use the pull-down menus to fill the remaining fields. Click OK. The test appears in the Global Options window. (NOTE: If this type of test already appears in the list, a message will inform you.) Click OK.
- Editing Tests: Select a test under Notation. Click Edit. The Test Properties window opens. To define a symbol, double-click on a symbol, then select a new symbol. To select a line style, use the pull-down menus. To select a color, double-click on the color field. Click OK.
- Deleting Tests: Select a test under Notation. Click Delete. The test is removed from the Global Options window.
Global options for the Pure Tone Average
NOTE: To temporarily change the frequencies used to determine the Pure Tone Average, click the Change Frequencies - - icon on the lower right-hand corner of NOAHaud's Pure Tone tab. |
- In NOAHaud, click Tools > Global Options.
- Open the Pure Tone Average tab.
- Select checkboxes for:
- the tests for which you wish to calculate averages
- the frequencies to be used to calculate the averages
Click OK.
Global options for class and table orientation
- In NOAHaud, click Tools > Global Options.
- Open the General tab.
- Select:
- Right to Left to view right ear data on the left side of the screen and left ear data on the right side of the screen.
- Left to Right to view right ear data on the right side of the screen and left ear data on the left side of the screen.
Click OK.
