The backup utility makes a copy of your database and stores it in a location of your choosing. If your database is already backed up as part of a regular backup routine that backs up your entire computer, it is not necessary to use the NOAH Database Tool’s backup utility.
NOTE:
- It is important to back up the database on a regular basis – for example, weekly. Make a back-up copy to a device other than the hard drive containing the database in case the hard drive crashes.
- You should delete old backup files (and for NOAH 3.5.2, back-up log files) to free space on the hard disk. Refer to Deleting backup files.
