Upgrading to NOAH System 3.6 from a previous NOAH 3 version

IMPORTANT:
Before installing NOAH System 3.6, please click on the Preparing for NOAH System link under Related Links on the right side of this page. This will help you avoid installation issues during your software installation.

IMPORTANT: If you plan on using a Microsoft SQL Server for your NOAH System 3.6 database, please refer to the page Version 3.6: Using a SQL Server database before you continue with the installation.



  1. Place the NOAH CD in your CD drive. If the installation program does not start within 30 seconds, use Windows Explorer to browse the CD, then click on the file setup.exe
  2. The NOAH Upgrader will detect that you have an existing NOAH installation on the PC. Select Yes to upgrade your installation.

  3. Next, the NOAH installation will need to uninstall the older version, Click OK.

  4. After the components have uninstalled the installation will request a reboot of the PC. Please click Finish and reboot.

  1. After the reboot the installation will continue.

  2. The NOAH 3.6 installation will automatically migrate the existing database to SQL Server 2005 Express.

  3. You will be asked to reboot your PC to complete the NOAH installation.
