64-bit Operating Systems

Noah System 4 and NOAH System 3.7 are both supported on the 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Vista operating systems.

Most currently certified fitting and measurement modules support 64-bit operating systems, but HIMSA strongly encourages you to check that all the Noah software you use is compatible before purchasing a 64-bit operating system.

In addition be aware that older 16-bit NOAH modules originally written for NOAH 2 will NEVER be able to function on 64-bit operating systems.

The computer I am thinking of purchasing has a 64-bit processor but a 32-bit operating system, is this o.k.?

Yes, it is possible to run a 32-bit operating system using a 64-bit processor; in this case the processor will run like 32 bit version.

Will my Noah fitting and measurement modules work with Windows 64-bit operating systems?

If you plan to purchase a new computer with a 64-bit operating system, please check with your module suppliers first.

Will NOAH 3.6.1 and earlier work on Windows 64-bit operating systems?

No. Initial testing of NOAH 3 has revealed problems on the 64-bit version of Windows XP and Vista. The installation will start but will shortly terminate to prevent the installation.
