| IMPORTANT: |
| These instructions only apply to NOAH System versions 3.6 and later. They do not apply to version 3.5.2 and earlier. |
If you find it necessary to completely remove NOAH from a system please follow the directions below.
Be aware that if you are uninstalling on a 64-bit computer the folder locations under My Computer and in the registry have moved. The different locations are shown below. The directions below are for Windows XP Professional. Slight differences will be seen under Vista and Windows 7.
IMPORTANT: This procedure will delete the NOAH database. If you want to keep the NOAH database, please perform a NOAH Backup and save the backup file to the desktop. By default, backup files for NOAH 3.6.1 and NOAH 3.7 are located at C:\Program Files\HIMSA\NOAH Database Tools/Backup.
Step 1: Add/Remove programs
- In Windows, click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
- Double-click on Add or Remove Programs.
- Right-click on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and select Remove.
- Select HIMSA: Database Engine ONLY and click Next.

If no other SQL databases are present on the PC uninstall the support programs for the SQL database: Microsoft SQL Setup Support Files, Microsoft SQL VSS Writer, and Microsoft SQL Server Native Client.
Uninstall NOAH System; this should also remove NOAH Engine. The Install Shield Wizard uninstalls the files from your system. You will be informed when the files have been removed. Click OK. Reboot the machine if prompted to.
Uninstall NOAHaud, NOAHfit and NOAH Client (if you have NOAH network installed).
Verify that NOAH Database Properties and Scheduler has been removed - otherwise remove this program.
- Close the Add or Remove Programs window and Control Panel.
Step 2: Remove all NOAH folders
- Go to Windows Explorer and locate the folder Program Files. On 64-bit operating systems the folder is Program Files (x86).

- In Program files locate the HIMSA folder. Delete this folder.
- Next, go to C:\Program files\Common files and delete the HIMSA Shared folder.

- Delete the MSSQL$HIMSA folder at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server. (Alternately this folder may be MSSQL.1 or later. If unclear, check the corresponding Data folder for the file NOAHSystem.mdf to be certain you have located the correct directory.)
IMPORTANT: This procedure will delete the NOAH database.

Step 3: Delete registry entries
- Click on Start > Run.
- At Run type REGEDIT and click OK. The registry opens.
- Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HIMSA.

On a 64-bit computer the registry key for HIMSA is located in the WOW6432Node.

- Delete the key HIMSA.
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\HIMSA.
- Delete the key HIMSA.
- Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\HIMSA (Again on a 64-bit machine locate the key under Wow6432Node).
- Delete the key HIMSA.

- Reboot your PC !!!
