You must be running NOAH as administrator in order to install/uninstall a module

install_module_error.gif

Cause

The following issue only applies to NOAH installations running on Windows Vista.

If you attempt to install a module from within NOAH (e.g. use tools/setup/install module) and do not run the program as an administrator, you will see the message above.

Solution

To install a module within NOAH System on Vista, follow the steps below.

NOTE: Only modules written for NOAH 2 need to be installed inside NOAH.  If the module was designed for NOAH 3, you may close NOAH 3 and run the setup.exe for the module installation directly.

  1. Locate the NOAH 3.6.1 icon on the desktop.  Right click on the icon and select run as administrator.  This will start NOAH System.

  2. You will next see the screen shown in the screen shot below.  Select the allow option on the message that states “An Unidentified program wants access to your computer”.

  3. NOAH will launch.  Log on to the system as usual and now you will be able to install the module from inside NOAH.
