Manual Client Numbering Changed to Automatic

If you set up your NOAH System 3.X to use manual client numbering and then you upgraded to NOAH 3.6.1, the client numbering will be switched to automatic.

IMPORTANT: If you are moving your older NOAH database to a new computer in the form of an .nha file, intending to import the data into 3.6.1, you must change the numbering before you import the .nha file. Importing the .nha file into NOAH 3.6.1 without resetting the numbering to Manual will renumber all the clients.

Solution

You must re-enable manual client numbering. Follow the steps below:

  1. Launch the NOAH Console at Start, Programs, NOAH System, NOAH Console.

  2. Under NOAH System, select the Configuration tab.

  3. Change from Automatic to Manual and then click on the Apply button.  You will be prompted for a NOAH Logon that has NOAH Administrative rights.  Enter the User name and Password, Click OK.

  4. Close the NOAH Console.  Verify your change by launching NOAH System and adding a New Client. The Client Number should now be manual.
