Description

The upgrade to Noah 3.6.1 from Noah 3.5.2 appears to complete without any errors - however, when launching NOAH 3.6.1 on the server computer, the following message appears:

Error code 80040643 IDispatch error #1091

Solution

HIMSA has provided two solutions for this issue, Automated and Manual.

Automated Solution

1. Reboot the computer.
2. Download the IDispatch_1091_fix.zip (under Related Links)
3. After you unzip it run the batch file. Please see screen below.
   
   
4. When the batch file has completed press any key to continue.
   
   NOTE:  If you happen to see an error code in the DOS window, ignore it.
5. Reboot the computer.
6. Launch NOAH.

Manual Solution

1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
2. Uninstall NOAH System Server and NOAH System Client.
3. Uninstall MSQL Server 2005 as follows:
   • In Add/Remove Programs right-click on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and select Remove.

   

   • Select HIMSA: Database Engine ONLY and click Next.

   

4. Close Add/Remove Programs.
5. Re-install NOAH 3.6.1 Server and Client.
