Issue
Some locations that use the Ezurio Adapter and have paired their NOAHlinks, have in years past reported that after the first of the year, the PIN code (1234) needs to be re-entered.
Quick Solution
- Close NOAH and open My Bluetooth Places.
- In My Bluetooth Places select View Devices in Range.
- Once discovered, double click on the NOAHlink to connect.
- When prompted, enter the PIN code 1234. If the location has already received a pairing error and is unable to discover the NOAHlink, remove the NOAHlink battery, replace the battery and attempt to connect again. At this point they can enter the PIN code 1234 and connect to the NOAHlink.
Long Term Solution
If NOAHlink is setup using the Ezurio Bluetooth drivers on a machine with Windows XP, then there might be a risk that this problem will occur again next year. To avoid this problem:
- Verify that service pack 2 or later for Windows XP is installed on the machine.
- Download and install the latest release of NOAHlink Properties and upgrade the NOAHlink kernel. Instructions on how to update the NOAHlink kernel can be found here.
- Use the Microsoft stack instead of the Ezurio drivers as shown here.
