Using the NOAH 3 Data Collector Tool

The NOAH 3 Data Collector Tool is designed to move patient data and settings from NOAH 3.5.2, NOAH 3.6.1 and NOAH 3.7 to a Noah 4 installation on another computer.

The tool is run on the OLD NOAH 3 computer and the file it creates is moved and migrated to Noah 4 on the new computer.

Warning: Importing a NOAH 3 migration file into Noah 4 will overwrite all data in the Noah 4 database. You should, therefore, only import a NOAH 3 migration file into a new or empty Noah 4 database.

  1. Download the file in the table below.
  2. Unzip the file to the PC containing your NOAH System 3 installation.
  3. Double-click on the NOAH3DataCollector.exe file.

  1. To add your NOAH 3 settings and patient data to a file for migration to Noah 4, click on 'Migrate to file'.
  2. A 'Save As' window opens. In all cases the files will be saved to the Desktop. Enter a 'File name'. Click on Save.
  3. When the file has been saved, the progress bar in the picture above will be filled and 'Data collecting DONE' will appear beneath the progress bar.
  4. Close the NOAH3DataCollector.exe file and copy the saved file to the PC containing your Noah 4 installation.
  5. Launch the Noah 4 External Migration Tool from Start, Programs, HIMSA, Noah Tools. Follow the prompts.
