Will Noah 4 support eTONA?

The Noah System 4 software does not support eTONA at present and there are currently no plans to include eTONA in the final release.
 

Why won't eTONA be supported?

eTONA electronic ordering was a top priority for the hearing care industry in 2003. However, due to unexpected market conditions and changing technologies, eTONA functionality did not achieve industry-wide support as expected. Currently, eTONA is being actively used at fewer than 300 locations worldwide.

Therefore, at the request of our member companies, HIMSA has chosen to use its resources on higher priority Noah 4 features.

What should I do if I rely on eTONA?

If your office relies on eTONA functionality, contact your hearing instrument manufacturer to determine a better method for ordering their products before you switch to Noah 4. HIMSA member companies are aware of the eTONA situation and should already have an alternative available.

HIMSA will continue to support NOAH System version 3.7 until at least early 2012.
