Previous to Noah 4.5, user names were case sensitive. For example, it would be possible to define two users as:

1. JOE
2. joe

In this case there would be two distinct Noah users.

Noah 4.5 will no longer support case sensitive user names. If the installation program detects more than one user account having the same name (e.g. all considered “joe”), then Noah will keep the first one in the list (#1 above) active and the other will be renamed to joe1 – with the same password as #2 – joe. If there are more identical user names they will be renamed with 1, 2, 3 …etc.

If your Noah System installation was set up with user accounts that have the same name in different cases, it is advisable to rename the users before upgrading to Noah 4.5.
