2021 has been a year of recovery for the world in general, and for the hearing care industry in particular. However, as the last month has shown, there is still a long way to go. We have not yet reached the end of the COVID-19 crisis as we had hoped, and increasing infections and new variants are now a part of our daily conversations.

Throughout the industry, experience from 2020 and 2021 has taught us to adapt our workstyles to the new normal. This year we have learned to use the tools at our disposal to continue to provide a high level of service to our customers.

At HIMSA, this has taken the form of online meetings, remote workplaces and virtual trade shows. These tools have helped us to continue developing our products, providing support through our distributors and communicating with hearing care professionals … all while staying as safe as possible.

If there is a bright spot for HIMSA during these challenging times, it has been our Noah ES project.

Noah ES has been successfully developed under the new daily protocols we live under. 2021 has shown us that by adapting new tools, we can be just as, or even more productive than we had been before, while remaining safe.

In 2022, we will hopefully finally reach the end of the COVID-19 crisis, but we will not do so unchanged.

We salute hearing care professionals and the hearing care industry for continuing to adapt their work in these very abnormal times.

Season’s Greetings to all hearing care professionals worldwide.

Stay safe, and we look forward to our continued and improved cooperation in 2022.
