Many hearing care professionals already know that if an audiologist is based at the main office but performs home visits 1-2 time a week, they are welcome to use the office’s Noah site license on their laptop.

However, did you know that it is also ok to use the office’s site license while working at home to provide remote services to patients that are customers of that office?

A Noah end user site license may be used:

  • on multiple computers at one customer site/address/office
  • for occasional patient visits away from the site/office, within reason. For example, an office audiologist is welcome to use the office’s Noah license to visit schools or nursing homes.
  • while working at home to provide remote services to patients that are customers of that office

A Noah System site license is not sufficient:

  • to provide services to patients that are customers of a different office that does not have a Noah site license. If a customer has multiple sites/offices, they will need to purchase a site license for each office, even if all their offices share the same central database.
  • if a practice has Noah users who spend the majority of their time offsite on patient visits.
In this situation, we suggest you consider Noah ES which is a cloud-based version of Noah offered as a subscription from HIMSA. With Noah ES, it is not necessary to purchase a Noah System site license.

For detailed information on Noah licensing requirements, refer to Best Practice for using your Noah site license.
