Empower Hearing (www.empowerhearing.com.au) is an independent clinic serving the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding regions. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of services, including hearing assessments for adults and children, hearing aid fittings, tinnitus management, and ear wax removal.
However, what sets Empower Hearing apart is its unique service delivery model and the locations where it provides care.
“We work from multiple locations and primarily collaborate with different GP practices and nursing homes,” said Hebin Kallikkadan, owner of Empower Hearing. “This allows us to bring high-quality audiology services directly to patients in familiar medical environments, ensuring accessibility and convenience.”

A Personalized Approach to Hearing Care
Empower Hearing focuses on three key aspects of audiology care, Comprehensive Hearing Assessments & Education, Independent & Personalized Hearing Aid Solutions and Ongoing Support & Optimization.

Tinnitus management is another critical area of expertise.
“We utilize techniques such as Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) and app-based sound therapy,” explains Kallikkadan. “We also work closely with GPs to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.”
Noah ES – The Perfect Solution for Multiple Locations
With services spread across five different practices and nursing homes, Kallikkadan saw the potential of Noah ES and decided to try the free 30-day trial.

“Setting up Noah ES was straightforward, especially with the support provided by Glen Young and Otowave Solutions,” stated Kallikkadan. “The transition from a standalone Noah system to Noah ES was smooth, and I didn’t encounter any difficulties.”
Now, Kallikkadan relies on Noah ES across various sites, ensuring seamless access to patient data and delivering consistent, high-quality care.
What Does Kallikkadan Like Best About Noah ES?
“What I love most about Noah ES is that it represents the future of audiology,” said Kallikkadan. “I am confident that this digital system will help multiple practitioners synchronize data efficiently, ensuring the best continuity of care.”

By moving to a cloud-based platform, Empower Hearing ensures that patient data remains secure and accessible across multiple locations.
“Even if something happens to my computer, all data is safely stored online. It also streamlines workflows, making hearing aid fittings and follow-ups more efficient, regardless of where I am,” Kallikkadan explained.
Any New Features You Would Like to See?
One feature that Kallikkadan would find helpful is the ability to work both online and offline.
“There have been times when my internet connection failed, and it would have been great to continue working offline, with the data being uploaded to the server once the connection was restored. Having an offline mode would help ensure that no data is lost during internet outages, ensuring uninterrupted service for patients.”
The good news is, a basic offline mode already exists in Noah ES, using client version 4.15 and higher.
With the local license, Noah can now be used temporarily without an internet connection. If an internet outage occurs or a user is working in an area without connectivity, Noah allows local data storage. Once internet service is restored, the data can be uploaded to the Noah ES database. HIMSA is also committed to improving offline mode in future Noah ES versions.
Would You Recommend Noah ES to Other Hearing Care Professionals?

“I’m happy with Noah ES overall and see it as a key part of the future of audiology. It provides flexibility and security, ensuring that patient data is safe and accessible. Overall, I believe Noah ES is a great system. It is a powerful tool, and for practices with multiple users or locations, it can make managing patient data much more efficient.”
