Product Manager

As mentioned last month, HIMSA attended the AudA convention in Australia for the very first time in early April, to celebrate our new Noah ES support in Oceania.

“It was a fantastic opportunity to meet Australian Noah users and talk about how they use Noah,” said Anders Nielsen, Product Manager, “and also to discuss what they would like to see in coming Noah and Noah ES versions.”

On the heels of a successful AAA show, our intrepid product managers Scott Peterson and Anders Nielsen took the long flight from New Orleans to Adelaide, complete with a poster and a stack of information sheets.

Was it worth the long flight?

After three days in Adelaide, the answer was a resounding “Yes!”.

“We received an incredible amount of information and insights from the many hearing care professional we met at the show,” stated Nielsen.

For example, one thing that surprised Anders was that sharing a Noah database was not as prevalent among Australian hearing care professionals.

“The HCPs we talked to are used to moving patient record files between devices using the NHAX export,” says Nielsen. “So when we mentioned Noah ES, which shares the Noah database by default, they were very excited.”

Also, a surprising number of audiologists were excited to learn that Noah ES allows the same patient record to be open on multiple devices.

“With Noah ES, a patient record can be opened on multiple workstations at the same time,” said Nielsen. For example, when the testing room has the patient and measurement module open, the same patient record can also be open on the fitting computer. This feature simplifies and improves the patient workflow.”

The show also gave them the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Hearing Business Alliance, the Australian College of Audiology and the Hearing Services Program.

Coming back to AudA?

“We were very impressed,” stated Nielsen. “We will definitely consider returning for the next AudA in 2027.”
