May 2019 – As mentioned in earlier newsletters, HIMSA has been preparing Noah for the challenges and benefits of tele-health care.

With the Noah 4.9, we introduced several tools for improved data security based on the latest technology.

With Noah 4.10, we replaced the current networking technology for more reliable communication with remote offices, especially those with less stable networks.

And with the release of Noah 4.12 next month, we will be introducing our first tele-health feature, the Noah Alert Dashboard.

Tele-Health comes to Noah

HIMSA has worked closely with our member companies to create a flexible and secure solution that can quickly evolve to meet changing needs and technologies. The result is the Noah Alert Dashboard.

Imagine that your patient is at a restaurant when they notice that their hearing aids are not functioning as expected. They open their manufacturer app and send feedback. However, to see patient messages, you currently need to log into separate manufacturer portals.

With the Alert Dashboard, you will be able to see all important patient requests from HI manufacturers directly in Noah.

You can then sort through the alerts, prioritize them, and solve the most critical problems right away.

Security and Reliability

Using Noah Mobile Technology, HI manufacturers can securely forward important patient-related information directly to the audiologist in Noah.  Once the data is in Noah, the audiologist can then easily view and work with the patient information in the Alert Dashboard.

Your business is always fully in charge of access to your patient data.

In order to enable the Alert Dashboard, your business would first need to enable Noah Mobile.  In addition, you can grant or remove access to each manufacturer’s back end system individually.

A Work in Progress

Although you can already see the Alert Dashboard next month in Noah 4.12, you will need to wait a while before you can use it.

It will take time for manufacturers to implement and test the communication between their portals and Noah.

However, the good news is that most major manufacturers have already begun the process. So HIMSA expects the first instrument manufacturers to already begin supporting the alert dashboard in the near future.

And the Alert Dashboard in Noah 4.12 is just the beginning

As tele-health evolves and more Noah users use the Alert Dashboard, HIMSA will continue to evolve Noah to meet the coming demands.
