As mentioned in an earlier newsletter, Microsoft has now officially ended support for Windows 7 on January 14th.

Microsoft’s website offers the following guidelines to Windows 7 users:

“While you could continue to use your PC running Windows 7, without continued software and security updates, it will be at greater risk for viruses and malware. Going forward, the best way for you to stay secure is on Windows 10. And the best way to experience Windows 10 is on a new PC. While it is possible to install Windows 10 on your older device, it is not recommended.”

End of support means no more bug-fixes, security patches or new functionality, making users significantly more susceptible to malware attacks.

And since unsupported Windows versions cannot ensure continued compatibility with Windows updates and technology required by newer Noah module versions, HIMSA will no longer certify modules on Windows 7.

For these reasons, HIMSA strongly recommends that you use Windows 10 on all your Noah System PCs.
