August 2018 – HIMSA is pleased to announce that Microsoft has released a Windows update which resolves the Bluetooth issue for Windows 10 version 1803.

The Microsoft Spring Update 1803 for Windows 10 was released on April 30, 2018. This Microsoft update breaks the Bluetooth communication between the computer and NOAHlink. After applying this Windows update, NOAHlink users report that they are unable to discover the NOAHlink in NOAHlink Properties.

The fix can be obtained via Windows updates, specifically KB4340917.  Once the KB has been applied you can verify by checking the  Windows version, should be:

If NOAHlink Properties does not find the NOAHlink after updating to the new KB4340917, remove the NOAHlink from Bluetooth and repair the NOAHlink.

  1. Navigate to Settings, Bluetooth and other devices.
  2. Locate the NOAHlink under Other devices, click and chose Remove device.
  3. Launch the NOAHlink Pairing Wizard, Search, and Pair the NOAHlink.
  4. Launch NOAHlink Properties and Search for the NOAHlink, then Connect and Disconnect.

Q: What should I do if I have paused Windows updates?

A: You may now remove the pause or wait for it to expire and updates will follow.  HIMSA is uncertain of the exact timing when updates will resume.
