On October 14th, the latest Windows update was released to Windows 11 users worldwide.

Unfortunately, this update was a disaster for programs relying on communication with localhost, including Noah. Many Noah users contacted our distributors to report that they could no longer access their patient data from their newly updated Windows 11 computers.

Microsoft fixed the bug in a new Windows 11 update within 2 days.

Forty-eight hours of downtime could have been critical for hearing care businesses and their patients.  However, thanks to the quick response of our HIMSA distributor network, the downtime was reduced to hours and not days.

A huge thanks to our support network

We would like to make a callout to the HIMSA distributor network and their support personnel for their quick response.

With their cooperation and feedback, we were able to quickly identify the cause of the error, and then to publish a workaround to help Noah users to restore their Noah database connections.
