Noahlink Wireless 2 and Noahlink Wireless, manufactured and distributed by HIMSA II K/S, is tested according to applicable government-mandated testing requirements including those relating to safety and electromagnetic compatibility as well as FCC requirements for telecommunication. The results of these tests indicate that there is an extremely low likelihood that Noahlink Wireless 2 and Noahlink Wireless will affect other electronic devices, and that it will be able to withstand interference from other electronic devices.

However, in the spirit of caution, we present the following guidelines recommended by manufacturers of defibrillators and pacemakers regarding the use of mobile phones:

  • If your patient wears an active implantable device, keep the Noahlink Wireless device at least 15 cm away from the implant.
  • If your patient experiences any interference, do not use the Noahlink Wireless device and ask the patient to contact the manufacturer of the implant.
  • Please note that power lines, electrostatic discharge etc. can also cause interference.
  • If your patient has an active brain implant, please ask your patient to contact the manufacturer of the implant for risk evaluation.

Noahlink Wireless 2 and Noahlink Wireless use the radiofrequency of 2.4 GHz. Disturbances are highly unlikely to happen, especially taking into account the very low power level of the device. It should be noted, however, that many consumer electronic devices such as garage door openers and TV remote controls operate at 2.4 GHz.

For more details, we recommend that your patient consult their active medical device implant manufacturer.
