A Noah System end user license is sold through distributors from HIMSA member companies. The price for a license is set by each distributor. This license is used by Audiologists (or similar) making use of Noah features and compatible modules to collect diagnostic data and/or program hearing instruments for profit or non-profit commercial purposes.
The licensing of Noah is a bit different compared to many software packages that end users are used to purchasing. The license is not per computer or per user but rather per site.
A Noah end user license may be used:
- on multiple computers at one customer site/address/office.
- for occasional patient visits away from the site/office, within reason. For example, an office audiologist is welcome to use the office’s Noah license to visit schools or nursing homes.
A Noah site license is not sufficient if a practice:
- has more than one site/office. If a customer has multiple sites/offices, they will need to purchase a license for each office, even if all their offices share the same central database.
- has Noah users who spend the majority of their time offsite on patient visits. In this situation, we suggest you contact HIMSA for alternative licensing terms.
For detailed information on Noah licensing requirements, refer to Best Practice for using your Noah site license.
When a Noah site license is installed, it will clearly indicate your company’s registration information in the About Noah dialog. Illegally used end user licenses may be disabled at HIMSA’s discretion.
