Exporting patient records from Noah is done for a variety of reasons:

  • Moving and merging records from a laptop to a server database
  • Consolidating databases from multiple offices
  • Exporting a record to email to another office

In Noah 4.9 Noah added the option to password encrypt export files for added security.

In Noah 4.10 in addition to encrypting the export file, Noah will also prompt for the name of the person receiving the record/s and for the purpose the export. These details, the recipient and the note, will be added to the Activity log for a clear record of the transfer of patient data in Noah.

Requiring the export password and requiring the export note is enabled by default in Noah 4.10. To de-select the options requires an Administrative Noah user.

The Export Security Settings are found in the Noah Console under Security Administration (formerly User Administration)
