Upgrading a Noah Network

If you network your installation of Noah System 4 (share a common database with other PC’s), then there are a few items that you must consider first before upgrading:

  • It is advisable to plan for an upgrade of a networked installation of Noah System.
  • Important: The Noah version on the Server and Client PCs must match.  For example, it is not possible have a Noah Server installation at version 4.16 and a client PC at version 4.8
  • You must first upgrade the Noah server.  After the Server is upgraded, test to ensure that a user can log in to the server if possible.
  • Once the server installation is complete, proceed with upgrading and testing all the client PCs.
