By default, the Noah Backup Scheduler is set to back up your Noah database automatically. The backup will proceed even when Noah is in use, and if the computer is shut off at the scheduled time the backup will complete upon boot up. The backup files are stored at C:\ProgramData\HIMSA\Noah\Backup\Database (Older Noah versions stored the backups at C:\Program Files (x86)\HIMSA\Noah 4\backup).
These automatic database backups have saved the day many a time when a location had not thought to perform regular backups, then had a computer problem, and discovered that Noah was taking care of the backup for them!
The backup files do accumulate however, and if you have a large database, the weekly backup files can consume significant hard disk space over time. Periodically remember to check the backup folder and delete older files.
