Are you in the market for a new Windows laptop for your office? While shopping, be sure to keep an eye on the laptop’s processor specifications.

ARM-based Windows and computers with Snapdragon processors are not supported for Noah or Noahlink Wireless.

While these new processors offer improvements in performance and battery life, at this time one of the biggest drawbacks of Snapdragon processors is their limited compatibility with key business software.

These technologies are options on new laptops for example the Surface Pro and Dell XPS 13, as well as others. The issue can be that they do not support some necessary driver software. This can impact HIMSA products and may also impact other devices used in hearing healthcare businesses.

For detailed information on all supported Noah System versions as well as supported HIMSA Basic Modules, operating systems, and versions of Microsoft SQL Server, you can always refer to the HIMSA Product Life Cycle and Platform Strategy document posted on the HIMSA website.
