Requirements for upgrading Noah can sometimes seem complex, especially when you  have an older, non-supported Noah version installed.

That’s why HIMSA has created a new step-by-step download page, to tailor and simplify the upgrade process based on your specific installation.

Important: If you are using a Noah compatible business system, please contact the manufacturer before beginning the upgrade process.

Here is how to get started.

Choosing a Download Option

On the Noah Download page, choose the option that best fits your installation.

For example, if you are downloading Noah for the first time, choose the First Time Installation option. On this page, you will be able to download a Noah installer for the latest Noah version.

If you are upgrading an existing Noah installation, choose the type of Noah installation that you currently have installed. This will lead you to a page with guidelines specifically for your type of installation, Noah standalone, Networked Noah (shared database) or Noah ES Client.

For example, if you click on Upgrading Non-Network/ Standalone, you will see this page:

You will be asked to choose the Noah version you are upgrading from. You can see your Noah version in the About Noah dialog in the Help menu.

Once you choose your version number, you will see a step-by-step procedure specifically to upgrade your Noah installation to the latest Noah version, including links to download Noah software.

For example, if you are upgrading from Noah 4.9, you will see the following procedure:

Just follow the step-by-step instructions to update your Noah installation to the latest version.

The Value of Keeping Up to Date

If you have not upgraded for a while, the upgrade process will include several steps. However, it is worth it to get to the latest supported Noah version.

New Noah versions often contain additional features, fixes and security.

That’s why HIMSA recommends that you get in the habit of checking your Noah version at least once a year to make sure that you are on the latest version. It is well worth the time and can save you time in the long run.
